Having seen this movie once previously (a few years ago), I wanted to see it again because I couldn't remember much about it. So, this is the first movie review here at moviepostsonly that covers a movie that I am not seeing for the first time.American Psycho is, to be sure, a very odd movie. Following narcissist and misogynist Wall Street executive Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale) through his odd world of insanity, sex, murder, and music, we see a man struggling to be seen as the definitive "man" by the outside world, while clearly only partially even knowing what it is to be human. Bale's performance is absolutely outstanding, and the movie is so full of quotable lines and memorable scenes that I'll probably thinking about it for a while to come.
Finally, the movie packs the full punch of awesomeness with a surprise ending that leaves the viewer not completely sure of what they have just seen on the screen.

Now at the top of my Netflix queue. I think this came out when I was 10 or 11, and I remember hearing at the time in the mainstream media that the film was sick and shocking, and I wanted to see it.
I saw this not too long ago as well...still a great movie to see when it feels as though there's a dearth of good movies to watch.
Yes, it is indeed an enduring classic.
